Inside the Learner's Studio...Debuts Jan. 2015
I have been holding onto an idea and marinating its potential & possibilities since this past July. I have decided that its time to stop waiting and well, Lone Wolf action is called for...
I call it Inside the Learner's Studio. I know, why call it that? Why not Inside the Designer's Studio? Well, as I have learned over the last couple of years, everyone is a learner in someway. And I want the Users involved in this idea to be in Flare mode and try very hard never to narrow themselves. Yes, you are correct. I am riffing off the great concept & execution of "Inside the Actor's Studio." I am riffing off this concept so much so that if I grew a beard, you might just have to start calling me James Lipton 2.
Well, at the moment, the plan is to go 21st Century and utilize the world wide web + Google Hangout. The setup... A "James Lipton" type character (I have one in mind :) + the Learner (I have a plethora of gets in mind as well). The audience will be the 8 other "LIVE" viewers GHO allows in the space. Qs will be structured and prepared ahead of time (with Qs submitted by tweeters too). 20 minutes to start with the possibility to extend to 30 minutes (just want to test out the length and attention span of viewers/Learner). No speeches, no monologues, no prep by the learner. Simply who is the Learner in the chair, why, and how. Real, honest, and simple.
So here is my official request... If you would like to be in the Learner's Chair, let me know via a tweet reply to this post... Bookings of Shows will begin in the New Year.... of course, I gotta go find my James Lipton character.
And of course the last Qs will follow "official" format...
- What is your favorite word?
- What is your least favorite word?
- What turns you on creatively, spiritually or emotionally?
- What turns you off?
- What is your favorite curse word?
- What sound or noise do you love?
- What sound or noise do you hate?
- What profession other than your own would you like to attempt?
- What profession would you not like to do?
- If Heaven exists, what would you like to hear God say when you arrive at the Pearly Gates?
By the way, this is a prototype in testing. Produce mode of DEEPdt.
Need: weeding spaces clogged up with too many experts and not enough learners (doers, educators in the trenches) HMW... infuse soft-spoken voices into an area filled with noise and opinions that drown out their stories and experiences?
